Feist aka "Leslie the Angel" was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia and then raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, and Calgary, Alberta. Then after all that moving around she got herself into a band called Placebo as the lead vocalist. They won a local Battle of the Bands competition and given the opportunity to open for the Ramones. Success ensued and after hurting her voice and taking some time off she went solo and took up guitar. In 1999 she put out her first solo album (Monarch) and today we are given two more on top of that (Let It Die and The Reminder). Both albums are great. Oh and if you notice a similar voice in the Broken Social Scene albums, thats her too. She is so busy she has almost no time to accept all of her Myspace friend requests.
